Systems Engineer (JRN-32601)
We are seeking a driven and capable Systems Engineer to support the definition, integration, and delivery of advanced mobile and materials handling equipment programmes.
This role sits at the heart of equipment development, bridging engineering requirements, subsystem integration, prototype build, and validation. You will work across multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, controls, manufacturing and procurement to ensure engineering intent translates into reliable, buildable and field-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the capture, definition and management of system requirements and operational use cases.
- Translate business and operational needs into engineering specifications, interface definitions and verification criteria.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Systems Requirement Documents (SRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and validation plans.
- Coordinate subsystem integration across propulsion, electrical, hydraulic, structural and control systems.
- Work closely with workshop teams during strip-downs, rebuilds and prototype builds to ensure alignment between design intent and physical integration.
- Track technical risks, configuration status and interface changes throughout development cycles.
- Support supplier engagement and technical alignment to ensure compliance with system-level requirements.
- Contribute to system verification activities including test preparation, performance analysis and issue resolution.
- Maintain documentation, traceability and configuration control in accordance with internal governance standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting and improving existing equipment and integration processes.
- Participate in international travel for site visits, supplier engagement and technical support where required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of system integration principles across mechanical, electrical and control domains.
- Experience supporting prototype programmes or new product development cycles.
- Practical engineering mindset with strong problem-solving capability.
- Ability to read, interpret and produce technical documentation and drawings.
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface across technical and operational stakeholders.
- Understanding of electrification, hybrid systems or advanced vehicle integration would be advantageous.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required
