TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER - CANADA

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Manager play a pivotal role in developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth across Canada.

Reporting to the Vice President, MMD Mineral Sizing, the Technical Sales Manager will work closely with key stakeholders to identify new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and achieve sales targets. With Canada's mining industry ranking among the world's top producers of aluminum, diamonds, gold and uranium, among others, this sales leader will be busy fostering new and existing accounts and taking over market share across Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing comprehensive sales strategies to promote MMD's products and services in the mining, quarrying, and recycling industries.
  • Schedule regular meetings with customers and site visits to track preferences of customers to focus sales efforts.
  • Provide strategic business support and leadership, ensuring sound execution of growth and strategic initiatives, while identifying new expansion initiatives and opportunities.
  • Identify, develop and maintain relationships with client executives, key decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with MMD's products and services.
  • Keeping abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Working closely with the Canadian operations and international sales team to participate in trade shows and events, collaborate on marketing material and support marketing campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness and driving sales.
  • Providing accurate sales forecasts and regular reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators, sales trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Responsible for negotiation and execution of mining contracts, quoting and sale of new, used and rebuilt equipment, developing an asset life strategy for each site and ensuring a governance model is in place.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; mechanical engineering an asset.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles.
  • Strong network and customer base nationally within the mining sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Deep understanding of sales principles, techniques, and methodologies, with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and exceed sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required (>30%).
  • Bilingual in French is an asset.
