Position: Technical Design Draughtsperson
Location: Douglas, Isle of Man
Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
Reporting to: Group Managing Director & Principle Mechanical Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and refine detailed technical drawings.
- Work to precise tolerances, ensuring designs meet stringent quality and functional requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and production teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
- Modify and update designs based on engineering feedback or changes in project scope.
- Maintain comprehensive records of drawings and revisions in line with company standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the design process.
- Provide assistance to the MMD sales companies in the UK and overseas.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Extensive experience as a Technical Design Draughtsman.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as Autodesk (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks) & SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, tolerances and materials.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven experience in bulk materials handling.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
- Product design experience in the mining industry.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working on projects that require adherence to tight tolerances and rigorous standards.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production requirements.
